I was wondering what sound card you used to get RCA output or are you using a 3.5 mini to RCA adapter?

You could also look into tethering your phone with your computer so that you can have access to your phone's data plan (if you have one). Then you'd have internet virtually everywhere.

Xanderone, there a lot of tools that will help you with customizing your boot skins. StarDock product is a good place to start.

Good job you did there. I'm planning to get a peageot 407 '04 model soon and heaven knows I intend to make it the best in town apart from the fact that a peageot 407 is not a common site here. Although I intend to use a scrap hp pavillhon laptop (about $190) so as to get a backup battery power, coupled to the alpine head unit, DIY fashioned motorised lilliput touch screen which will turn 180 degrees to reveal the screen and reverse 180 to the normal dashboard AC vent. Wao! I can just imagine how good that sounds......like this 007 stuff. Please how did you come about costume programming that boot skin stuff? Thanks so much for sharing your project. It is really inspiring.

Luke, back in the day it cost me ~$2K / CAD to get all the pieces together. Beyond that, as you can see from the photos I installed everything manually (so no installation cost, but plenty of my own time). As far as the installation itself.. I definitely did some damage to the glove compartment (easy replacement), but beyond that it was a clean install.

Sean, don't remember the exact components, but you can find the photos for most of them at: http://igvita.com/carputter/parts

Good thing I was trigger happy with my camera, as usual!
