William, are the mongrels starting up? I’m guessing there may be some EventMachine incompatibilities with Solaris.

I’ve installed this on our Solaris 10 u5 setup and it’s unable to see the mongrel processes. Anyone use this on Solaris?

By the way, this plugin breaks ruby-debug. This is a deal breaker for me on anything except for a production server. The odd thing is that ruby-debug-base throws an error instead of mongrel_proctitle throwing an error. Unfortunately, I haven’t had an opportunity to track down the source of the error, but as soon as I remove this plugin, ruby-debug begins working again. So, I am certain they conflict.

Thanks for letting us know about the plugin though!

Alexander, good point, I should be more careful with my wording. Based on my tests, I can also confirm that the performance difference is almost negligible. In all, kudos for the great plugin!

Mutwin, I didn’t talk about this in my post, but as Alexander has also pointed out, I don’t expect that this plugin will work with the swiftiply patch.
